Deputies use a lot of fuel in any given month in a big county with a lot of driving. One time purchase of a fuel tank will save 25 cents per gallons, and several hundred dollars per month. Also provides back up fuel source for emergency vehicles in event of a power outage and gas stations are without power. This, combined with WEX cards to use at gas stations if out and around the county, will save thousands of dollars per year for the county. This process was started early 2021 and tank installation is expected soon!
