The board debated this for 2 years, had an arbitrator come to conclusion, then still didnt want to sign the 3 year contract for pay for Sheriff's Deputies. This wasnt hard. The new board members voted to sign it and move on. But this is just an example of too many people in a room and can never seem to move forward on items. One issue that has caused this to be tabled over and over again, month after month, was because Roberts Rules werent being followed, and a simple majority was being allowed to table this issue every month, compared to the 2/3 vote required to table an issue. The upcoming contract will be starting May 2021.
